YESNO

Child protection

At Spotland Primary School, we strive to safeguard ALL pupils, parents, staff and visitors to our school. Mrs Kathryn Jagger is the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) for the school and Mrs Samantha Heaney is the Family Support Worker and Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead (DDSL).

Child Protection and Safeguarding is EVERYONE'S responsibility. We work tirelessly to ensure that families have all the support that they need, but unfortunatly familes can sometimes need extra support from Children's Social Care and partner agencies.

Let us dispell a myth! Children's Social Care and Social Workers are not there to remove children, quite the opposite. We have worked with many Social Workers and families and they have received fantastic support, which has enabled them to be better parents and their children are fully protected.
