Hello, our names are Samantha Heaney and Samirah Naaz and we are the Family Support Workers at Spotland Primary School. We understand that many children and families experience difficult times which can make a happy, successful school and home life a struggle. If you have worries about your child, connected with school, it is always best to discuss these with the class teacher or member of the Senior Leadership Team, as they will know your child and can work with you to address any issues. Sometimes, there are other problems that parents or carers need some help with. We are here to listen and offer support. We work in a non-judgmental way and we know that families come in all shapes and sizes! We have lots of experience of working with children, young people and their parents and carers. If we can’t help directly, we are able to signpost or refer parents and carers to appropriate support.
